Celebrities like Rita Dominic, Kate Henshaw, Ruth Kadiri and Ini Dima-Okojie attended the debut album listening party of singer Nonzo Bassey.
The event was held at the Rango Lounge in Lagos on December 10. The album titled Diary of a Lover Boy has been a long time coming since the release of ‘Toyo’ in 2022.
Diary of a Lover Boy narrates a “tale of ambitious aspirations and a love affair gone awry, blending the rich
musical tapestries of Highlife, Afrobeats, R&B, and Dancehall genres.”
Guests at the listening party were treated to a mesmerising live performance of tracks from the album by Nonzo. This event offered an exceptional opportunity for guests to engage with the singer and immerse themselves in the emotionally charged melodies of songs like Nkese’, ‘Answer Me’, Romance and ‘Let It Go’.
Rita also promoted the album on her Instagram account to support her colleague on the listening party day.
“My dear Nonso has worked so hard on his album and I can’t wait for you all to experience this masterpiece! Wishing you all the best today at your album listening, always so proud of you,” she wrote.
The album is now available on streaming platforms through Prime Disrupt Media/Wild Imaginations.
Nonzo who released his debut single 411 in 2018 participated 2016 edition of The Voice Nigeria–where he made it to the final–and starred in the popular TV soap Battleground.
He got a major role in Rita Dominic’s film La Femme Anjola where he played her love interest.
