Actress Ini Edo has laid her father to rest in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State, with several Nollywood celebrities in attendance.
Clips from the funeral, which surfaced online on Friday, showed Uche Jombo, Ruth Kadiri, Rita Dominic, Emmanuel Taymesan, IK Ogbonna, Kate Henshaw and Toke Makinwa dressed in matching Ankara outfits as they joined Ini to bid farewell to her father.
The actress was seen wearing a white outfit adorned with beads, while her daughter wore an Ankara gown.
Ini Edo had announced her father’s death in February, sharing the heartbreaking news on Instagram alongside a photo of him.
“This post has been the hardest to make… I have lost my greatest cheerleader… My Beloved Father, My first Love… The Heavens have gained an Angel. You will forever remain in my heart. Rest on King,” she wrote.
Fans and colleagues flooded her comment section with condolence messages, offering their support during the difficult time.
