Actress Rita Edochie could not hold back her emotions as she joined others in paying tribute to the late prophet TB Joshua, founder of the Synagogue Church of All Nations (SCOAN), on the first anniversary of his death.
The actress, who attended the memorial service, alongside fellow actor Jerry Amilo and controversial preacher Prophet Chukwuemeka Odumeje, went live on Instagram to share moments from the event.
In the video she posted, Rita is seen trying to hold back her tears as the choir sang in honour of the late SCOAN leader.
In the video, she said: “Alot of people are actually crying, I’m holding myself not to cry, but he is gone, he is gone, he is gone to be with our lord Jesus Christ. The lord’s general, they are not plenty in the world.
“All the lord’s general, they don’t last, they don’t stay long. Once they come and do what they are supposed to do, what God called them to do, they are gone. Senior prophet TB Joshua, he is gone, God’s general, he is gone. May he keep resting in the lord.”
