The Executive Committee of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Rivers State has suspended the party’s acting chairman in the state, Igo Aguma.
Senator Andrew Uchendu, speaking on Monday on behalf of the committee alleged that Mr Aguma flouted the party’s constitution and made decisions without consulting relevant stakeholders.
Uchendu declared Sokonte Davies as chairman of the party in Rivers.
He added that the suspension of Victor Giadom from the office of Deputy National Secretary of APC, as well as the nomination and appointment of Worgu Boms as a replacement, was in nullity.
