Actor Richard Mofe-Damijo (RMD) has made a rare public appearance with his wife, Jumobi Adegbesan, at the Silverbird Man of the Year Awards held on Sunday, March 16, at Eko Hotel and Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos.
In a video shared online, Jumobi was seen in a black gown paired with a gold purse, while RMD wore a traditional outfit adorned with beads.
The event celebrated individuals from entertainment, politics and public service for their contributions to their respective industries. RMD received the Lifetime Achievement Award, recognising his over three-decade-long career.
Reflecting on his journey, he said, “This recognition means a lot. It is a testament to the years of hard work, passion, and dedication to the art of storytelling.”
Other notable personalities at the event included Toyin Abraham, Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, Ekiti State Governor Abiodun Oyebanji, Don Jazzy, Peter Mbah, TikTok star Peller and Chidimma Adetshina.
Before marrying Jumobi, RMD was previously married to journalist and publisher May Ellen-Ezekiel (MEE), who died in 1996.
He tied the knot with Jumobi in 2000. The former AIT ‘Lunch Break’ presenter later transitioned into the corporate world.
