Nollywood actors Richard Mofe-Damijo popularly known as RMD and Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde, family Nurse Regina Askia among others have mourned the death of movie director Chico Ejiro.
RMD shared a picture of Chico in an Instagram post on Friday.
He said words fail him as his heart is shattered.
“Rest in peace Chico Ejiro. I want to write a long eulogy about our paths crossing, a friendship that budded and how we went from friends to brothers,” he wrote.
Omotola, 42, in a tweet said working with Chico was magical.
She said, “We celebrate your life and all you achieved Chico Ejiro. Working with you in the early 90s was magical . With great movies such as Day Break, Slaves, Scores to settle etc … Mr Prolific! Your legacy outlives you. Adieu.”
Regina who is a former Nollywood actor also shared a picture of Chico on Instagram.
“Chico!! Oh dear God! Rest in perfect peace. This hurt so bad,” she wrote.
Others who mourned the filmmaker include Yul Edochie, Ik Ogbonna and Femi Jacobs.
Ejiro died in the early hours of Christmas Day from suspected cardiac arrest.
