RMD to receive Creative Industry Legend Award at NACC Breakfast Meeting

Actor Richard Mofe-Damijo (RMD) is set to be honoured with the Creative Industry Legend Award at the Nigerian-American Chamber of Commerce (NACC) February 2025 Breakfast Meeting.

This was announced in a press statement released on Wednesday.

The event, scheduled for Thursday, February 6, at Four Points by Sheraton Hotel, Lagos, will be hosted by NACC National President Sheriff Balogun.

Themed “2025 Economic Outlook for Nigeria,” the forum will provide insights into the country’s GDP growth, inflation, interest rates, employment and consumer spending.

Tola Adeyemi, managing partner at KPMG Professional Services will deliver the keynote address, while discussants include Muda Yusuf, CEO of the Centre for the Promotion of Private Enterprise; Dele K. Oye, President of the Nigerian Association of Chambers of Commerce, Mines, Industry & Agriculture and Adelana Olamilekan, MD/CEO of Zenith Carex Express.

The session will be moderated by Nneka Okekearu, Director of the Enterprise Development Centre at Pan-Atlantic University.

RMD, who has been a dominant force in Nollywood for decades, will be recognised for his contributions to the industry.

His work as an actor, producer and mentor has helped shape the Nigerian film industry into a global powerhouse.

Founded in 1960, the NACC fosters trade relations between Nigeria and the United States through networking, advocacy, trade services and investment promotion.
