Super Eagles striker, Brown Ideye, has described national team coach, Gernot Rohr, as difficult and tough to work with.
The Franco-German replaced Salisu Yusuf as the substantive manager of the three-time African champions in August after the team failed to qualify for two successive Africa Cup of Nations tournaments.
His rugged and drudge system has however had a positive effect on the Eagles who have won all games under his tutelage.
And Ideye, who featured in the 2-1 away victory over Zambia in Ndola, revealed that it’s been a privilege working with the 63-year-old who brings out the best in him.
“He is very difficult man in working terms,” Ideye told SuperSport.
“The manager knows what he wants and he always push us to the best. He doesn’t take bullsh*t from anyone. So I think we’ll really do well.
“And I think working with him is a privilege. I am really happy. I can’t wait for the game [against Algeria]. I am looking forward to the game.”
The former West Bromwich Albion forward also revealed that the level of interaction between the older generation of Eagles and the young guns makes the senior national team tick.
Hear him: “We have good understanding [with the young players]. We speak a lot before and after any game. I don’t have problem with them and they are very cool guys. So we enjoy playing together.”
Algeria will be hoping to shock Nigeria in Uyo with the hope of redeeming their stuttering 2018 World Cup aspiration following their 1-1 draw against Cameroon on Day One.
