President of Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), Amaju Pinnick, has dismissed reports that head coach, Gernot Rohr, will be sacked.
Nigeria lost their semi-final match against Algeria on Sunday and speculation had gathered since that Rohr might be dismissed from his position.
Football reporter, Osasu Obayiuwana, reported that Pinnick was not thinking of sacking the German tactician.
Instead, Pinnick said: “Gernot Rohr will not be sacked as Super Eagles coach. He will remain in the job. I have complete confidence in him.”
Algeria will face Senegal in Friday’s final while Nigeria play Tunisia in the third-place match on Wednesday.
