Real Madrid superstar, Cristiano Ronaldo, has added another feather to his cap after he topped the list of the best-paid athletes in the world for 2017.
According to the list released by Forbes on Thursday, Ronaldo finished in the no.1 spot for the second successive year with the total earnings of $93m in 2017.
Ronaldo sits top ahead of basketball star LeBron ‘King’ James ($86.2m), football rival Lionel Messi ($80m), tennis star Roger Federer ($64m) and another basketball player Kevin Durant ($60.6m).
A further breakdown from Forbes revealed that the Portuguese forward earned $58m from Real Madrid in salary and bonuses, while $35m was made from sponsorships and endorsements.
The five-time and current Ballon d’Or winner has endorsements deals with renowned companies like Nike, Tag Heuer, Herbalife, Abbott Labs and others.
His growing line of CR7 branded products now includes jeans, shoes, fragrance, underwear and a line of hotels.
