Cristiano Ronaldo has posted a lovely message to his former manager and mentor Sir Alex Ferguson after the pair reunited this week.
Ronaldo was back in Manchester with Juventus for their 1-0 Champions League win against Manchester United on Tuesday night.
And the Portuguese winger, who spent six years at Old Trafford between 2003 and 2009, took time out of his schedule to meet Ferguson.
Sir Alex received an incredible reception last month when he made his first appearance at a United game since he suffered a brain haemorrhage in May.
After his return to United, Ronaldo posted a picture with Ferguson, who looked in good health once again.
Ronaldo captioned the picture of the pair with the message: “A great coach and above all a wonderful man.
“Taught me so many things inside and outside the pitch. Great to see you in good shape, Boss!
Ferguson and Ronaldo have always had a strong bond, shown when the pair were filmed embracing moments after the 33-year-old had lifted the Euro 2016 trophy in France for Portugal.
Before Juventus’ win on Tuesday, Ronaldo had said: “It’s a hugely emotional thing for me to come back.
