Cristiano Ronaldo’s family has rubbished claims the footballer is dating a stunning Spanish sports reporter.
The Real Madrid striker was linked to pretty brunette Lucia Villalon earlier this week after ex Irina Shayk confirmed their romance of nearly five years was over.
Cristiano’s elder sister Elma Aveiro insisted today there was no truth in reports he was now dating Lucia, 26, a reporter for Real Madrid’s official club channel Real Madrid TV.
Elma, who runs one of Cristiano Ronaldo’s clothes shops, said her brother was enjoying being single again and she had no idea who he was going to replace Russian model Irina with.
She added: “We want a woman who respects him and likes him, nothing more. That’s the most important thing.”
Cristiano, 29, reportedly dumped Irina after she refused to attend a 60th birthday party he was organising for his doting mum Dolores.
His family have declined to comment on the reasons for the break-up.
Victoria’s Secret beauty Irina denied through a spokesman at the weekend that she had any problems with his family.
Cristiano, confirming the split earlier this week, said: “After dating for five years, my relationship with Irina Shayk has come to an end.
“We believed it would be best for both of us to take this step now.
“I wish Irina the greatest happiness.”
Cristiano’s representatives stopped the press asking questions about the split during the launch of his football agent’s new book in Madrid on Thursday.
