Actress Ronke Oshodi-Oke has joined many in commiserating with actor Amokade Olatayo, widely known as Ijebu, as he marks the second anniversary of his mother’s passing.
On Friday, Ijebu took to Instagram to share heartfelt memories of his late mother, posting pictures that captured her essence.
He reflected on her legacy with the caption, “Iya Funmbi, it was exactly two years ago you left this sinful world, that you went to be with the Lord.
“We return all glory to God for His infinite mercy over our lives since you left. The legacy you left behind is still ringing in our minds.
“We appreciate God for His love over the lives of your children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. To God be the glory in the highest.”
Celebrities and fans alike flooded his comment section with messages of condolence.
Ronke offered her sympathies with a simple yet poignant, “Rest on mama,”
Abeni Balogun Fausat added, “May her soul continue to rest.”
Bimpe Akintunde also expressed her sentiments, writing, “Keep resting Iyeee Funbi.”
In 2022, Ijebu first announced the news of his mothes passing on Instagram, revealing that she was ill before her death.
