Former Big Brother Naija star and actor Saga Adeolu has addressed speculations about his relationship with fellow housemate and actress Liquorose.
Speaking in an interview with QEDNG at the Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards (AMVCA) press conference on Thursday in Ilupeju, Lagos, Saga clarified their bond while also reflecting on his acting career.
The reality TV star shared his passion for acting, revealing that he had already envisioned himself in the industry before leaving the Big Brother house.
“When I left the stage of Big Brother, I said I wanted to be an actor. I didn’t know how I was going to do it, but somehow, late 2023, God started showing me the path. So right now, I have been acting for probably one year and a half, and I am happy with how far I have gone.”
Saga also revisited a past interview where he mentioned that his father wasn’t proud of him.
He clarified, “My dad… I wouldn’t say he wasn’t proud of me, but we didn’t connect as much before Big Brother. But thankfully, I don’t know how Big Brother managed to heal our relationship. We are perfect.”
Addressing rumours about his relationship with Liquorose, he said, “Liquorose is my paddi. Keep watching and keep enjoying our content.”
He also shared his expectations for the reality TV show, stating, “I hope Big Brother can come up with new ideas because I personally believe it is time for something new. I don’t regret going to Big Brother Naija.”
The press conference saw attendance from industry stars including Ireti Doyle, Liquorose, Wanni, Handi, Shaun Okojie, Daniel Etim-Effiong, Efa Iwara, Hermes, Dabota Lawson, Akin Faminu and Adeola Diiadem.
The event featured stand-up comedy, musical performances by Nigerian Idol season 7 winner Progress Chukwuyem, refreshments from sponsors ONGA and Amstel Malt and a panel discussion with Tejumola, Francis Obiajulu (MD of Amstel Malt), and Adebola Williams (ONGA representative).
