Fuji musician Saheed Osupa has voiced his support for colleague Wasiu Pasuma amidst the ongoing dispute between Pasuma and Taye Currency.
In a recent performance Saheed praised Pasuma alongside Abass Obesere and the late Fuji legend Ayinde Barrister, emphasizing that only the three have a truly unique style in the Fuji music industry.
He contrasted them with figures like K1 De Ultimate, whom he described as companions influenced by Barrister’s legacy.
Saheed’s comments come after a viral video where he subtly criticized K1 De Ultimate for allegedly accepting money from Taye Currency amid the latter’s conflict with Pasuma.
During his performance, Saheed threw shade at Taye formerly known as Taye Paso for disrespecting Pasuma, who he said played a significant role in Taye’s career.
He likened Taye’s actions to those of a “mad man” for failing to acknowledge Pasuma’s influence.
This comes after Taye Currency publicly apologised to Pasuma in October for comments made during a stage performance.
In the video Taye expressed regret over any misunderstanding, stating that his remarks were taken out of context and that he continues to respect Pasuma as a senior colleague.
The controversy began when Taye, during a live performance stated that Pasuma should not be considered his “father” in the Fuji music industry though he acknowledged him as an elder brother.
Taye later clarified that his comments were not meant to undermine Pasuma’s status, emphasizing the respect he holds for him.
