Fuji musician Saheed Osupa has met a child actor whom he jokingly accused of defamation after a movie role.
The actor born Raheem Abdulwahab played the character of Smally in the movie titled Saheed Esu.
The movie directed by Segun Ogungbe also stars Adunni Ade, Saheed Ayinla, Segun Ogungbe among others.
Saheed, 51, shared a clip from the movie a few days ago where the child actor is seen revealing that one Saheed beat up another boy, Jamiu.
The Fuji singer met with the boy on Sunday, August 30 and shared a photo from the meeting on Instagram the following day.
He wrote: “Days ago, I watched the short clip of a young, talented and rising lad. I felt motivated, happy and inspired, and I saw the need to encourage him to do better and need to do everything to keep him on a space that will continue to brighten his rosy future on the profession he has chosen upon himself.
“After I posted the video here and jokingly accused him of false accusations cum defamation of character (Saheed lo fo lenu) In early hours of Saturday, one of my P.As received a call from his relatives and I was able to speak with the boy and scheduled a meeting with him.”
Saheed said it was “heartening to see him being determined to succeed and his drive to make a better world through his supernatural talent.”
The musician added: “From my end, I have done the little I can and promised to continue doing that for him in attaining the greater height. So, we shall continue doing that to all talented dudes that show brilliance, competence and passion in what they do.”
