Fuji musicians, Saheed Osupa, and Wasiu Alabi Pasuma, popularly known as Pasuma, have celebrated their colleague, King Wasiu Ayinde Marshal, popularly known as K1 de Ultimate, on his 63rd birthday.
Saheed, 50, in a post on Instagram on Tuesday, described the musician as ‘an extraordinary special being’.
He wished the Mayegun of Yorubaland many fruitful years ahead.
“Today is a special day for an extraordinary special being. An iconic personality, a mentor, legend and a boss (oga wa), in the Fuji music industry. The (MAYEGUN OF YORUBA LAND), I wish you many more meaningful and fruitful years ahead. Happy birthday to you sir, Chief Olasunakanmi @mayegunofyorubaland. IGBA ODUN, ODUN KAN,” he wrote.
On his part, Pasuma, 52, wished K1 “long life in good health and wealth” in his goodwill message also posted on Instagram on Tuesday.
“HBD to d Fuji icon of all time. King Wasiu Ayinde Marshal @kingwasiuayindemarshal 🙏🙏🙏 May God bless you with peace and happiness on this unique day that you celebrate. And may that divine peace and happiness follow you and the rest of your life. Long life in good health and wealth, sir🙏🙏🙏🙏,” he wrote.
The chairman of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW) in Lagos, Musiliu Akinsanya, popularly known as MC Oluomo, also posted a picture of the singer on Instagram, calling him by his other nickname, KWAM 1.
The 44-year-old described Wasiu as ‘a gentle and kind father’ and wished him long life.
“You are such a gentle and kind father to me. May you live long with sound health and more prosperous years, Suddenly death will not take you away from us. May your day be as special as you are. Happy birthday Alhaji King Wasiu Ayinde Olasunkanmi Adegoroye Marshal ‘KWAM1’ Mayegun of Yorubaland,” he captioned the picture.
K1 de Ultimate was born on March 3, 1957, in Lagos State.
He started his music career in 1980 and is famous for popularising Fuji music.
