Nollywood actor, Saidi Balogun and his ex-wife Faithia Williams, on Saturday, attended the graduation ceremony of their son, Khalid, from secondary school.
The ex-couple both celebrated Khalid on his birthday on Wednesday with a separate post to Instagram, where they shared their admiration of him.
Saidi took to Instagram to share a picture he took with Khalid, his daughter Aliyah, another son and Faithia.
Alongside the picture, Saidi wrote: “Congratulations Khalid! My son, Khalid Balogun graduated from senior secondary school yesterday! It has been a great pleasure watching you grow from that little toddler to the big boy you have become.
“Just as you achieved this enviable milestone in your life’s journey, it is my prayer that many more of such milestones of greater proportion will become walkovers for you.”
He congratulated his children but left out Faithia.
Faithia chose to post only a picture of Khalid and his friends at the graduation.
“I will always be proud of you son,” she wrote.
Faithia and Saidi got married on September 7, 2000 in Lagos. Saidi Balogun already had years of acting experience under his belt when he married Fathia, who only began to find her footing in Nollywood.
To this day, the reason for their separation hasn’t been made known to the public as some speculate that cheating from either side was involved in their separation.
A few even go as far as to say that both of them had been unfaithful in the past.
It was reported that the pair stopped living together in 2006, and they finally got divorced in 2014.
Their union was blessed with two children, Khalid and Aliyah Balogun.
