Nollywood actor, Saidi Balogun, and his ex-wife, Faithia Williams, are celebrating their son, Kahlid Balogun, on his birthday.
In separate Instagram posts on Wednesday, the former couple took pride in their son as he matures into a man.
“Happy birthday KHALID BALOGUN( Omo kobomoje Loke Ibadan).just like the impact of the moon in the sky at night, your existence has filled my life with light. Your smile, your cry when I scold and the memories of the day you where born. just like yesterday another year has come and you are plus One,” Saidi wrote.
“Happy birthday to the finest and most handsome young man that I know and Proud to call my son. Khalid, I pray that you grow in wealth, happiness, joy, health, wisdom and outstanding. I love you forever ‘sonshine’ and I pray the year brings you all that you desire. Happy birthday love,” Faithia wrote.
Faithia and Saidi got married on September 7, 2000 in Lagos. Saidi Balogun already had years of acting experience under his belt when he married Fathia, who only began to find her footing in Nollywood.
To this day, the reason for their separation hasn’t been made known to the public as some speculate that cheating from either side was involved in their separation.
A few even go as far as to say that both of them had been unfaithful in the past.
It was reported that the pair stopped living together in 2006, and they finally got divorced in 2014.
Their union was blessed with two children, Khalid and Aliyah Balogun.
