Veteran actor Saidi Balogun has opened up about a traumatic motor accident that nearly claimed his life and left him bedridden for three months.
In an interview with Chude Jideonwo, shared on his Instagram page on Wednesday, Saidi spoke about his personal challenges, including his accident and past hardships.
The father of two shared details of the ghastly accident.
Recounting the event he said, “I fell asleep, and they said the car somersaulted. After the somersault, they found me underneath the car. I was lifeless.”
During the interview, Jideonwo highlighted Balogun’s four decades in the entertainment industry.
He noted that Saidi began his career with the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA) and also mentioned his outspoken support for President Bola Tinubu.
The actor also discussed a significant financial setback he experienced in the film industry.
He revealed that he invested N25 million in a movie, only to recover N800,000 due to widespread piracy.
Additionally, Saidi made an intriguing personal revelation, claiming that he is a prophet by birth.
“I’m like a prophet from birth. My chosen profession is to remind people of their past, help them look into their future, and shape their present,” he said.
