Pastor Nike Adeyemi, wife of the senior pastor of Daystar Christian Centre Sam Adeyemi, on Wednesday commented on the death of gospel singer Osinachi Nwachukwu, saying she hoped her husband has been arrested.
Osinachi died on April 8 in Abuja. Her family has accused her husband Peter Nwachukwu of being responsible for her death.
Adeyemi said she hoped the police have arrested Mr Nwachukwu.
“Some men are animals pretending to be human beings. I hope Osinachi’s husband has been arrested,” she tweeted.
Nwachukwu is currently in police custody. According to him, his wife took ill since November last year. He did not state the nature of her illness.
Adeyemi’s message comes two days after she celebrated her 55th birthday. Before her birthday, she commented on Osinachi’s death, advising women to leave “abusive relationship or marriage before it’s too late.”
