Socialite Sam Larry has responded to the allegations that he had a hand in the death of singer Mohbad.
The show promoter said in a video which surfaced on social media on Friday that clips showing him in controversial circumstances with Mohbad were not recent.
“Mohbad is my brother, I like him. When he was in Marlians Records he knew I had love for him, even his wife…… I can’t kill Mohbad. I love him so much, God knows it. The viral videos are things which happened last year. In the video where he and Zlatan were in a wheelchair, ask Zlatan if I touched Mohbad. In the video of the club, there’s a video where the bouncers were telling him ‘Sam Larry’s people are settling the issue hence he shouldn’t worry,’” he said in Yoruba.

Sam Larry deactivated his Instagram account on Thursday after videos of him allegedly assaulting Mohbad surfaced online.
Thereafter, the Elegushi Royal Family released a statement distancing itself from the 43-year-old following a petition Mohbad made to the police before his death alleging that the socialite works for the royal family.
The police have said they would probe Mohbad’s death.
