Music producer, Samklef, and rapper, Vic O, on Friday joined the growing band of artistes launching governorship campaigns on social media.
Those that have previously announced their intentions include actor, Yul Edochie, and singer, Kcee, both for Anambra State.
Eccentric rapper, Terry G, also announced his intention to become both governor and deputy governor of Benue State.
Self-styled “King of Rap”, Vic O, said he wants to run for governor in Cross River State and will forfeit his salary as he intends to work for free.
Samklef wants to succeed Rochas Okorocha in Imo State.

Many people have rightly dismissed the antics of the artistes as publicity stunts.
None of them is known to belong to any political party and their campaign banners have no party name or logo.
And while the governorship election in Anambra is scheduled for November 18, 2017, none of the other states will be electing a governor until 2019.
