Founder and chairman of Doyin Group of Companies Samuel Adedoyin has been named chancellor of Trinity University, Yaba, Lagos.
Adedoyin was decorated with the position at the university’s maiden convocation on Friday.
Celebrating her father, Olori Sola Adedoyin-Alao wrote on Instagram, “Congratulations daddy, may we continue to learn from your wealth of experience and humility. I am proud of Samu Agbamu now Samu Igbonu, the deepest Yoruba tribe. God continues to preserve and prosper you, sir.”
In another post on her private Instagram page, she shared a congratulatory message from businessman Razaq Okoya to her father.

The message read, “Dear Prince Adedoyin, my family and I are excited to witness your investiture as chancellor, Trinity University. I have no doubt that you will make a great impact in your new role, as you have made in everything that you have touched. Hearty congratulations!”
Adedoyin’s daughter captioned the post, “A lifetime relationship that I am extremely proud of.”
The institution also conferred honorary doctorate on the wife of ex-Oyo State governor, Florence Ajimobi; and a technology entrepreneur, John Obaro.
Mrs Ajimobi wrote on Instagram, “The Former first lady of Oyo state and Matriarch of the Ajimobi family, Dr. Mrs. Florence Ajimobi had an Honorary Doctorate Degree of Business Administration (DBA) conferred on her by the Trinity University, Yaba Lagos. The presentation was by Prince Samuel Adedoyin.”
