Khadija Sanusi, one of the daughters of the former emir of Kano Muhammadu Sanusi, is set to wed.
Her brother Ashraf Sanusi announced this in a post on X on Thursday night with pre-wedding photos of the lovers.
“My little sister @khadijasanusi_ is getting married,” he wrote.
Ashraf confirmed his sister would be marrying a Yoruba man. The identity of the man was not immediately clear.
Khadija, according to a post she made on X on Thursday, will be at the Kaduna Book and Arts Festival (KABAFEST) billed for May 1 to May 4.

KABAFEST, in a post, described her as “a seasoned writer, creative thinker, editor, poet, educator and journalist. Passionate about Islam, women and amplifying Northern Nigerian voices, she is the editor of both ‘Broken: Not a Halal Love Story’ and ‘Hafsatu Bebi’ by Fatima Bala.”
It also said she “has taught and trained six different graduating classes at Noble Hall Leadership Academy for Girls and has left a blueprint for future sets.”
Khadija is said to have written for several publications such as Al Jazeera, Document Women, NewsWire NGR, Isele Magazine and African Leadership Magazine.
