Lagos State Governor-elect, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has appointed CEO of Zapphaire Events, Funke Bucknor-Obruthe, into an inauguration committee that will usher in his administration on May 29.
Mrs Bucknor-Obruthe, 42, is the older sister of the late media and entertainment personality, Tosyn Bucknor, whose death occurred on November 19 last year.
Mr Sanwo-Olu unveiled his transition committee members in company of his deputy, Dr. Obafemi Hamzat, at his campaign office on Thursday.
A statement signed by the governor-elect’s media officer, Gboyega Akosile, said the committee is chaired by the director-general of Babajide Sanwo-Olu Independent Campaign Group (ICG), Tayo Ayinde, while the Lagos State APC Women Leader, Jumoke Okoya-Thomas, and George Osifeko will serve as vice chairmen respectively and Mrs. Titi Oshodi will act as secretary.
Sanwo-Olu said the committee is mandated with a responsibility of organizing a smooth programme that will usher in his administration.
The committee is also billed to reach out to Nigerians in corporate and political sectors, stakeholders and various interest groups locally and internationally to grace the swearing-in.
Other members of the committee include Obiageli Onu, Abdullahi Enilolobo, Kamal Salau-Bashua, Olatunji Disu, Bolaji Durojaiye and Sesan Daini.
Sanwo-Olu attended the service of songs held for Tosyn Bucknor before her burial.
