Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu on Saturday put his football skills on display as he played host to the four-time CAF Women’s Player of the Year Asisat Oshoala.
The governor received Asisat at the State House, Marina, tweeting afterwards that he would support the Super Falcon forward’s plan to begin a foundation.
He wrote: “Today, @AsisatOshoala paid me a courtesy visit. She is a worthy ambassador of Lagos from Ikorodu & we are proud of her. She spoke about her plans for the Asisat Oshoala Foundation and I promised to support her.
“We kicked the ball for a bit and I think I still have my skills.🙂 “
Asisat, who plays for Barcelona, recently paid a similar visit to the Elegushi of Ikateland Oba Saheed Elegushi Kusenla III and handed him a Barcelona jersey.
The star player is building momentum for her foundation which is believed will be set up in Lagos.
