Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu has sent a warm message to his wife Ibijoke Sanwo-Olu on her 54th birthday.
The governor told her in a Friday post on social media platforms that he was grateful for her understanding of their roles as public figures.
Mr Sanwo-Olu, 55, also appreciated her for her prayers and support.
“A very Happy Birthday to my dear Wife. Dr. Ibijoke Claudiana Sanwo-Olu,” he wrote.
“May God’s unending blessings continue to abide with you. Thank you for your prayers, support and encouragement always.
“Thank you for understanding that the role we have taken requires selflessness, hard-work, and patience, even in the face of adversity.
“As you celebrate another year, may grace never depart from you. Happy Birthday Ibijoke mi. God bless you.”
Mrs Sanwo-Olu was born on January 8, 1967 to the family of Paulinus Carrena of Popoaguda, Brazilian descendant area of Lagos Island.
Prior to becoming the first lady, she served Lagos State Government for 25 years rising through the ranks to become the chief medical director and chief executive officer of Harvey Road Comprehensive Health Centre, Yaba; and later General Hospital, Somolu.
