Jermaine Sanwo-Olu, senior special assistant on diaspora and foreign relations to Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has bagged a master’s degree in diaspora and transnational studies at the University of Ibadan (UI).
Mr Sanwo-Olu shared a video from the convocation ceremony on Friday on social media.
He said he was happy to have graduated from UI, thanking his classmates and lecturers for making his journey enriching.
“I am grateful to God and elated to have graduated with a Master’s of Arts (MA) in Diaspora & Transnational Studies from the prestigious University of Ibadan,” he wrote.

“Thank you to all my classmates, lecturers, and the entire team at UI for making this journey enriching. Keep reaching for your goals; if I can, you can too,” he added.
In September 2022, Sanwo-Olu attained full membership in the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR).
Sanwo-Olu, who is the Lagos governor’s cousin, said he counted it as a great honour to have been made a full member of the institute.
