Former Senate President Bukola Saraki has expressed sorrow over the death of actress Saratu Gidado better known as Daso, and actor John Paul Odonwodo aka Junior Pope.
Daso died on Tuesday morning was buried in the evening of the same day, according to Islamic rites.
Junior Pope died on Wednesday after a boat he boarded during a movie shoot in Anambra capsized.

Saraki said in an Instagram post on Thursday that the death of the entertainers were significant losses for the entertainment industry.
“Over the past two days, the Nigerian entertainment industry has suffered great losses with the passing of two prominent figures: veteran Kannywood actress Hajiya Saratu Gidado, and just last night, Junior Pope. These sudden losses represent a significant tragedy for our entertainment industry,” he wrote.
“As Nollywood mourns these losses, I pray that the families of Hajiya Gidado and Junior Pope find strength and solace at this difficult time. They will both be dearly missed.”
