Former Senate President Bukola Saraki has performed Umrah (lesser Hajj) in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
Saraki shared photos on Instagram after saying prayers on Wednesday.
The former governor of Kwara State wrote, “I feel truly blessed and infinitely grateful to Almighty Allah (SWT) for the successful completion of the Holy Month and for granting me another wonderful opportunity to be in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for Umrah, the lesser Hajj.
“This morning, as I joined the Ummah for Eid prayers, I kept my family, friends, loved ones, home state, and our entire nation in my prayers.”
Saraki noted that being able to perform Umrah with “Mr. Shuaibu, my personal driver, and a few of my aides has also been a remarkable experience.”

“As we continue to pray for Almighty Allah’s (SWT) guidance, I pray that the valuable lessons learned during Ramadan guide us on the path of righteousness, piety, and devotion,” he added.
While in Mecca, Saudi Arabia, Saraki ran into his colleague from the eighth Senate, Senator Monsurat Sunmonu.
He wrote in an Instagram post on Tuesday that as she celebrates her 65th birthday while on Umrah, she would be blessed with good health, happiness, and greater success in all her future endeavours.
