Police officers from the Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS) have allegedly shot two traders while chasing an alleged internet fraudster, locally known as Yahoo boy, in Abeokuta, Ogun State.
The unidentified ‘Yahoo boy’ was said to have run through Olomore Pepper Market as he was being chased.
Two pepper sellers were hit by stray bullets during the chase.
Reports say one of the victims was shot in the head while another was shot in the leg.
It was unclear if the victim shot in the head had died as of press time. However, witnesses say they have both been taken to a nearby hospital.
