Singer, Sean Tizzle, has vowed a comeback after years of absence on the music scene.
The 30-year-old, who recently dropped a song ‘Contagious’, said in a tweet on Friday that he would bring back the Next Rated category “in a major way on a global scale.”
He said: “Watch what happens this year…it’s not over…We just started…We bringing back that Next Rated category in a major way on a global scale from 0-100…no disrespect to Burna cos my guy but it’s time to get 🤴🏾.”
Sean Tizzle won The Headies Award for Next Rated in 2013, knocking off competition from Burna Boy, Phyno, Seyi Shay and Dammy Krane.
Following the announcement of Sean as winner, Burna Boy stormed out of the venue of the award in protest.
He was alleged to have told photographers not to take photos of him.
Burna has since become a household name. His 2019 album, African Giant, asides accolades also got a Grammy nomination.
