National chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Uche Secondus, has led members of the party in a protest on Friday to the embassy of the United States and the British High Commission in Abuja.
PDP members elected into the National Assembly also joined in the protest.
Mr Secondus said they came to present protest papers to the embassies, calling on President Muhammadu Buhari to resign over rising insecurity in the country.
He alleged that the executive had taken control over the legislature and the judiciary, lamenting the January 14 Supreme Court judgement which sacked Emeka Ihedioha as governor of Imo State.
The party, however, postponed protest to the embassy of the European Union.
