Nollywood actress, Omoni Oboli, on Monday uploaded the cover picture of her Wives on Strike movie to Instagram with a teaser that something big was coming.
“Get ready for the revolution,” she wrote.
Qed.ng can now reveal that that something big is not one, but two projects based on the movie.
A source close to the actress told this medium that she is about to launch a Wives on Strike series on television.
Production of the series is complete and a premiere date will be announced soon.
Secondly, all is almost set for the making of the movie sequel of Wives on Strike.
The 39-year-old, we hear, will begin the movie shoot in Lagos in September.
Starring Omoni Oboli, Uche Jombo, Ufuoma McDermott, Chioma Akpotha, Kalu Ikeagwu, Kenneth Okonkwo, Julius Agwu, and others, Wives on Strike is the story of four women who launch a no sex campaign to campaign against child marriage.
The movie was released in 2016 to critical acclaim, making N71million at the box office.
Wives on Strike 2 follows the path of The Wedding Party 2 which is due for release soon.
