President Muhammadu Buhari’s daughters – Halima, Zahra and Hanan – over the weekend attended the wedding of their brother Yusuf with their respective husbands.
The ladies were a sight for sore eyes in a series of pictures shared by their mother Aisha Buhari on Instagram on Monday, August 23.
The pictures were taken at the luncheon held for Yusuf and his bride Zahra at the Banquet Hall of the Presidential Villa, Aso Rock on Sunday.
Halima, aged 30, is a practising lawyer who got married to Babagana Muhammed Sheriff from Borno State in a lavish wedding in 2012. Her wedding Fatiha was conducted by the chief imam of the Yahaya Road Jumat Mosque.
Zahra, aged 26, is a microbiology graduate who runs an NGO. She is married to Ahmed Indimi who hails from Borno State. They have a son together.
Zahra and Ahmed exchanged marriage vows on December 16, 2016. The wedding Fatiha took place at the National Mosque, Abuja.
Hanan is a 22-year-old photographer. She is married to Turad Sha’aban. Their wedding ceremony took place in the Aso Rock Villa on September 4, 2020.
The wedding witnessed open violation of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) Act which prohibited spraying of the Naira. Guests also ignored the advice of the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) with regards to overcrowding and social distancing to help curb the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Yusuf wedded Zahra, daughter of the emir of Bichi – Nasiru Ado-Bayero, got married on Friday, August 20 in Kano. The wedding attracted top politicians including former President Goodluck Jonathan, former Vice President Atiku Abubakar and incumbent Vice President Yemi Osinbajo.
The couple rounded off their wedding with the luncheon at the Villa on Sunday.
