Former minister of aviation Femi Fani-Kayode says he is not getting married anytime soon after the crash of his marriage to ex-beauty queen Precious Chikwendu.
Mr Fani-Kayode said this on Monday, September 28 after sharing a picture of him and a woman he identified as Halima on Instagram.
The 59-year-old Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) chieftain, however, said Halima is not his fiancée but only offering him comfort.
“There have been wild speculations in the social media that I am planning to get married again. This is false,” he wrote.
“Miss Halima Yusuf, who has been cited as my fiancée, is simply a dear friend and confidante who I have the utmost respect for and who I hold in high esteem.”
Fani-Kayode first posted pictures of himself and Halima on Instagram on Wednesday, September 23.
“Halima × 2. Thanks for a wonderful time and a great visit. Blessings!” he wrote.
Halima is not the only lady Fani-Kayode has hosted since news of the trouble in his marriage to Chikwendu broke.
On Friday, September 25, he shared pictures with Elizabeth Akinmuda who flew in from Glasgow, Scotland to see him.
It was the first time the two were meeting after six years.
“You are looking great Elizabeth and thanks for coming,” the controversial politician said.
Chikwendu was missing from pictures Fani-Kayode took with members of his family when he returned to his Abuja home after a five-week tour of states in southern Nigeria.
The former minister has denied allegation that his marriage to the lady fondly called Snow White crashed due to domestic violence.
Fani-Kayode was married three times before he got yoked to Chikwendu, with whom he has four sons.
