A special day of tribute in honour of the late Nigerian legal icon and Supreme Court Judge, Justice Chikwudifu Oputa, organised by the Imo State Government was held at Imo international Convention Centre on Wednesday, June 25, 2014.
The deceased’s famous son, Charles Chukwuemeka Oputa, popularly known as Charly Boy, was there with in his royal punkness.
Not one to conform to the norm, the 63-year-old singer/songwriter, television presenter, publisher and Area Fada came with his studs, rings and “queens”.
He had promised he would celebrate rather than mourn his father’s death. His appearance at the event was enough entertainment, and amusement, for some of the people at the event.
