Actor Segun Arinze has dismissed online rumours suggesting he is battling an illness and in need of financial assistance.
Concerns arose after photos of the actor looking frail with a swollen stomach surfaced online, leading fans to speculate about his health.
However, Segun has now clarified that the images were taken on a movie set and do not reflect his actual condition.
Addressing the issue in an Instagram post on Thursday, the actor reassured fans that he is perfectly fine.
“I want to say thank you to all my friends around the world, fans, associates—everybody has been calling me. As you can see, I am not sick, I am as fit as a fiddle, and I am of sound mind.
“The picture that you saw making rounds was taken on a film set, and I don’t know why they are trying to use it for mischief.”
Segun also warned people against falling for scams, stating that some individuals were trying to exploit the false news for financial gain.
“Don’t give anybody money, don’t donate to anything, I am okay.”
The actor further expressed gratitude to those who reached out through calls and messages, assuring them once again of his well-being.
