The Senate has approved the sum of N30,000 as new national minimum wage.
This approval was made during plenary on Tuesday.
House of Representatives had long approved the new minimum wage bill.
Senator Francis Alimikhena had submitted the report of the ad-hoc committee on new minimum wage to the upper chambers for consideration.
The Senate on Tuesday also asked the federal government to submit a supplementary budget to cover the new wage structure for consideration and approval.
