Senator Teslim Folarin (APC-Oyo Central) on Tuesday buried his wife Angela Folarin in Ibadan, Oyo State capital.
Mrs Folarin, a 47-year-old legal practitioner, died on January 28 in the United Kingdom.
Among those present at the funeral were Vice President Yemi Osinbajo and Senate President Ahmad Lawan.
Also at the funeral service which took place at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Ilupeju-Bodija were Folarin’s political associates, friends and family.
In his sermon, Rev.(Fr) Felix Ethapeme described the late Angela as “a loving, God-fearing woman who committed her life to service of God and humanity.”
According to him, the deceased contributed immensely to the advancement of the church and the society during her lifetime.
Ethapeme called on Nigerians, especially political office holders, to lead exemplary lives that would glorify God and enhance a better society.
Mrs Folarin was buried at a private cemetry.
Other dignitaries at the funeral service were Rauf Olaniyan, Oyo State Deputy Governor; Senator Kola Balogun (PDP-Oyo South); Senator Abdulfatai Buhari (APC-Oyo North); Senator Musiliu Obanikoro and Bayo Adelabu.
Also in attendance were the minister of sports, Sunday Dare; Segun Ogunwuyi, and the chief of staff to Governor Seyi Makinde.
