The internet was recently awash with news of Seun Egbegbe, erstwhile lover of sultry Nollywood actress, Toyin Aimakhu, tendering an open apology to her on Instagram.
The development was well greeted by everyone who has been following the thread of their on and off love story, spiced with derogatory comments and threat to life by Egbegbe.
It has emerged that the popular Ebony Films boss was detained and later released on bail two weeks ago because of his threat to the life of the KUWTA reality TV show star.
The actress who had been away in the United States for a while, on her return to Nigeria reportedly went to make a report at The Lagos State Police Command.
Aimakhu, who visited the station in company of her lawyer, Bosun Osifowora, was reported to have complained that Egbegbe’s threats have affected her business, with colleagues and producers afraid of inviting her for movie shoots because they were aware of his violent nature.
While at the Commissioner of Police’s office, Egbegbe, we gathered withdrew his threat and signed an undertaking never to hurt or hunt Toyin anymore.
The slim socialite also reportedly undertook to make a new video with Goldmine TV to retract the initial threat video which went viral.
Efforts to reach Egbegbe to get his side of the story were unsuccessful.
