‘Jagaban’ rapper, YCEE, turned 23 on Thursday. To celebrate him we highlight seven things we know about him.
- He was born Oludemilade Martin Alejo in Festac Town, Lagos State, Nigeria.
- He is currently studying Marine Biology at the University of Lagos.
- Omo Alhaji as he is famously called shot into limelight in 2015 after he released the single ‘Condo’ featuring Patoranking.
- Before he became famous, YCEE already released three singles including ‘Pass Me’ (2012) and ‘Shots’ (2014).
- In 2015, he earned six awards nominations including Best Collaboration of The Year at Nigeria Entertainment Awards and Best Artiste in African Pop at the 2015 All Africa Music Awards.
- YCEE beat out Pepenazi, Baseone, Humblesmith and Koker to win the award for Rookie of the Year at the 2015 Headies.
- The Tinny Entertainment act has worked with several artistes including Olamide and Saeon.
