Several persons have been trapped as another building collapsed on Monday at Egerton square, Oke Arin, Lagos Island.
The building collapsed as officials of the Lagos State Building Control Agency (LSBCA) were demolishing another building close by.
Director of the Lagos State Fire Service, Rasaki Musbau, confirmed the incident, saying that firemen had been deployed to the scene.
Spokesman of Lagos State Emergency Management Agency, Kehinde Adebayo, when contacted could not give details.
He, however, assured that rescue workers had been sent to the area.
