Some Nigerians have expressed their disappointment over the praises showered on singer Oxlade following his sex tape controversy.
The video which was released on Tuesday night sparked several reactions from Twitter users on Wednesday morning.
In another video posted on Instagram, some students were captured marching from one hostel to another, hailing the singer as they chanted his name in excitement.
Reacting to the sex video, some aggrieved Nigerians took to Twitter to drag critics who backlashed singer Tiwa Savage after her sex tape leaked in 2021 but refused to slam Oxlade for the same thing.
“People that bashed Tiwa’s video are applauding that of Oxlade. Different strokes for different folds.,”@deoors wrote.
“Nigerians are hypocrites, they bashed Tiwa Savage when her sex tape was released, but are not applauding Oxlade because he is a man. The same thing should happen to him too,” @jedipand wrote.
“Apparently, there will never be much uproar when men’s sex tapes get exposes like there is when women’s happen. Tiwa’s case nearly shit the internet down with takes. Nobody cares about Cross’s nudes and everyone laughs about Oxlade’s and how good he is. Hypocrisy,” @khanofkanis11 tweeted.
If a woman had done this they would have shamed her, see them glorying their fellow man. shames people,” @Bisi_12 wrote.
“It’s a man’s wold really, If it was a female celebrity they would have been bashing her and raining insults on her,” @Chocolate_secret1 wrote.
