Seyi Makinde’s daughter graduates from Yale University

Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State

Tobi Makinde, daughter of Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde, has graduated from Yale University, a private Ivy League research university in New Haven, Connecticut, United States.

The convocation ceremony was held on Monday, according to the governor.

Makinde shared photos on Tuesday on social media of himself, wife Tamunominini and others rejoicing with the graduate.

The 58-year-old, who is serving his second term as governor, congratulated his daughter, noting that her hard work and diligence had paid off.

He also wished her well as she embarks on a new chapter of her life.

Makinde teased that he was glad he had one less school fees to pay.

“Congratulations, my darling Tobi on your graduation from Yale University yesterday. Your hard work and diligence paid off. Wishing you all the best as you embark on a new chapter of your life and I’m also glad that I have one less school fees to pay,” he wrote.

Makinde and Tamunominini have three children.
