Singer and songwriter, Seyi Shay, has described her fall while performing on stage at AFRIMA 2017 on Sunday as work of the devil.
The singer, who was performing her hit song, ‘Yolo Yolo’, barefooted lost her foot but rose gracefully, continued with her performance and acted like nothing had happened.
She later uploaded a picture to Instagram with the words “The devil is a liar”.
“As a professional, the show must go on,” she added.
The 31-year-old didn’t go home completely empty-handed after her fall.
While she did not win any individual award, DJ Coublon, who produced her ‘Yolo Yolo’, won the Best Producer Award.
AFRIMA was a great experience for her after all.
