Singer Seyi Shay has fired back at Twitter users who dragged her for saying she knew about American singer Rihanna’s pregnancy since last year.
The 36-year-old had said this on Twitter on Tuesday after news of the pregnancy went viral.
She wrote: “Big Congratulations to @rihanna This is the best news I’ve heard this year (but knew since last year).”
However, some critics took to Twitter to drag the singer, accusing her of lying and using the American star to draw attention to herself.
Reacting to the backlash on Wednesday, Seyi Shay accused bloggers of changing the narrative for their own gain. She also called her attackers ‘jobless’.
She tweeted: “I’m gobsmacked at how this tweet made it to some peoples ‘nothing better to do list’… as in I heard some blogs and some jobless, hateful trolls even went as far as changing the narrative!!! so they can use me to float and just … say something. (Sorry for u, I’m too Happy).”
