Shade Okoya, wife of industrialist Rasaq Okoya, has shared on social media an outfit she wore to the International Conference Centre, Abuja for the national awards ceremony.
Mrs Okoya was among 450 persons who received national honours from President Muhammadu Buhari on Tuesday.
Okoya showed up at the ceremony in a stylish white dress and was awarded the honour of Member of the Order of the Niger (MON).
She captioned her Instagram post, “It can only be Allah doing. @shade.okoya Conferment of MON (Member of the Order of the Niger) by His Excellency, Muhammadu Buhari, GCFR for all my years of hard work.”
According to the national honours award investiture 2022 programme, 450 recipients were awarded, taking the total number of Nigeria’s national honours awardees to 5,341 since 1963.
Of the 450 recipients, six were awarded Grand Commander of the Order of the Niger (GCON) awards, 55 got Commander of the Order of the Federal Republic (CFR) awards, 74 got Member of the Order of the Federal Republic (MFR) awards, 77 bagged Officer of the Order of the Federal Republic (OFR) awards.
Others include 110 Officer of the Order of the Niger (OON) awardees, 55 got Member of the Order of the Niger (MON) awards, 65 bagged Commander of the Order of the Niger (CON) awards, four got Federal Republic Medal- First Class (FRM I) while four also got Federal Republic Medal- Second Class FRM II.
