Singer Crown Uzama, popularly known as Shallipopi, has expressed his anger after losing the Next Rated category to Odumodublvck at the 2025 Headies Awards, vowing never to attend the event again.
Taking to his official X page on Monday, Shallipopi voiced his frustration over the outcome of the award ceremony.
The Headies Awards, held on Sunday at the Landmark Event Centre in Lagos, brought together some of the biggest names in Nigerian and African entertainment.
Odumodublvck was presented with the Next Rated award by singer Davido, beating fellow nominees Shallipopi, Qing Madi, Ayo Maff and Nasboi.
Although Shallipopi was invited on stage to perform during the show and later received the award for Best Rap Single for his song “Cast” featuring Odumodublvck, he was clearly unhappy with the overall result.
Reacting to the situation, Shallipopi wrote: “Mtchewwww, The next one if una see me make I bend.”
He added, “I nor go even lie for una sef, I nor want that award give the real rappers wey dey the category, me Shallipopi I nor be rapper. Make everybody relax jorrrrr, before I cut chain.”
